November 3, 2023 No Comments

Why does the weather change? What is a winter solstice? Your class will love exploring the answers to these question using the text and activities provided in this resource.

Even if you do not live where there is drastic change in the weather, learning about the winter solstice is interesting and something students should know. This resource is filled with informational text, graphic organizers for identifying key points, assessment and writing activities. There is also vocabulary included. Take a peek!

If you love this you will enjoy partnering learning about the winter solstice with this delightful story The First Day of Winter. Students will love singing along and identifying all the wonderful items shared to build a delightful snowman.

My favorite is the dress your snowman game. It is prepared in color for a center as well as black and white for independent use. There is also so many wonderful sequencing activities added perfect for math and comprehension.

I’m Michele a retired educator who loved every minute of being in the classroom and creating an environment where students loved coming and materials were presented that inspired learning. After retirement 5 years ago I knew I wanted to stay connected to the classroom and education. I began pulling my materials together and creating resources for TpT. I hope you will peek at them!! Together my husband and I have raised three amazing sons who now are busy beginning families of their own. To date I only have one grandson but he is such a joy! My husband, miniature dachshund Rubee, and I love being on the water, boating and walking outside. So if you see sunglasses you know where we are!! Together we spend time at our lake house in Michigan and our winter home in Florida. We are creating so many wonderful memories.
