May focuses on 4 delightful stories to engage students. Each story is followed by three different comprehension strategies. There are suggestions for guided lessons and then the three activities to practice the strategies. This resource encourages “thinking” about the story shared.
Phonics for May focuses on three letter blends: scr, spl, spr, shr, sql, spr, thr. The resource contains an anchor chart for posting so students are aware of that the pictures represent. There are vocabulary cards for each picture with the word, These can be used for sorting, syllables or posting. For center work there are colorful flower interactive activities followed by three black and white practice, review or assessment activities for individual use.
