
I love sharing informational text about a topic for students to read, gather info and then report. In November I like to use Owls to learn about. The Let’s Discover about Owl resource is filled with everything you will need for your class to complete research about owls. There are vocabulary cards with real life pictures and then word work activities for developing mean of each word. A mini book is available for each student to read facts about owls. Because each student has a booklet they can highlight key words and facts they will include in their writing. The resource also includes activities on the life cycle of an owl as well as graphic organizers for saving key facts. Literature suggestions and activities to accompany them are also included. There are even some owl themed math games for you enjoyment.
