Lacey Walker loves to talk, whisper, shout and sing! One gloomy day when she loses her voice she begins to understand home important good listening habits can be. This story is perfect for introducing what a good listener looks like and how these important habits can be helpful!

The resource is filled with a wide variety of activities. There are comprehension activities including story elements, recall and sequencing. Strong listening habits are reviewed. There is a cute craft for “OWL” be a good listener. Word work includes making words, ABC Order and definitions. There are also writing activities with sequencing and self to text. One of my favorites is the Reader’s Theater. There are 8 characters and name plates for each character. The mini book is easy to put together and students can highlight their parts in the story.
