Bb is for Bubbles: The Perfect End-of-Year Celebration Activity for Your Classroom

April 14, 2026 No Comments

As the school year winds down, keeping students engaged (while managing all that end-of-year excitement!) can be a challenge. That’s why a themed celebration day is the perfect solution—and what better way to celebrate than with a Bb is for Bubbles Day during your Countdown to Summer?

A Joyful Way to End the Year

End-of-year days should be meaningful, memorable, and manageable for you. This Bb is for Bubbles Celebration brings it all together—keeping students engaged, reinforcing key skills, and creating a classroom experience filled with laughter and joy.

Your students will truly be bubbling over with excitement as they celebrate learning and head into summer!

Bring Learning to Life with Bubbles

Throughout the day, students explore bubbles through real-life experiences and simple science concepts:

  • What is a bubble?
  • How are bubbles made?
  • Why do bubbles pop?

Pair your discussion with real-life photos and Interactive Google Slides so students can see and understand what’s happening. Then take the learning outside and let students observe bubbles in action—a perfect opportunity for simple science observation and discussion.

Literacy Made Fun and Meaningful

Keep your literacy block strong (even at the end of the year!) with bubble-themed activities your students will love:

  • A simple, engaging bubble poem
  • Sequencing how to blow a bubble
  • A mini informational reader (just print, fold, and read!)
  • Vocabulary cards for building language

Students can also respond to prompts like:
“Blow a bubble, make a wish…” or
“I am bubbling over with excitement for summer because…”

With graphic organizers and differentiated writing pages, every student can feel successful.

Word Work + Math = Still Learning!

Keep those important skills sharp with fun, themed practice:

Word Work

  • ABC Order
  • Syllables
  • Word Search
  • Make Words

Math Activities

  • Pop a Bubble Maze
  • Roll, Add & Win

These low-prep activities are perfect for centers, small groups, or independent work.

Add a Little Extra Fun

Make the day feel extra special with simple additions:

  • A bubble headband craft students can wear
  • A bubble snack (with a cute “Pop Pop Pop” tag!)
  • A take-home bubble bottle tag to continue the fun at home

These small touches create lasting memories your students will talk about long after the school year ends.

The Best of Both Worlds: Print + Digital

This Bubble Celebration includes both hands-on, print-and-go activities AND Interactive Google Slides. The slides are tech-friendly with click-and-drag features, making them perfect for young learners with minimal typing required.

You’ll have everything you need for a full day of learning that feels like a celebration.

I’m Michele a retired educator who loved every minute of being in the classroom and creating an environment where students loved coming and materials were presented that inspired learning. After retirement 5 years ago I knew I wanted to stay connected to the classroom and education. I began pulling my materials together and creating resources for TpT. I hope you will peek at them!! Together my husband and I have raised three amazing sons who now are busy beginning families of their own. To date I only have one grandson but he is such a joy! My husband, miniature dachshund Rubee, and I love being on the water, boating and walking outside. So if you see sunglasses you know where we are!! Together we spend time at our lake house in Michigan and our winter home in Florida. We are creating so many wonderful memories.
