One of my favorite ways to begin the year is with Froggy Goes to School. Froggy’s excitement, nervousness, and determination remind students that it’s perfectly okay to feel a little unsure when trying something new. Best of all, they quickly discover they aren’t alone.
This year, invite your students to Leap Into Learning! Create a classroom where kindness is celebrated, curiosity is encouraged, and mistakes become stepping stones to success. Together, you’ll hop over challenges, make new friends, discover exciting ideas, and celebrate every accomplishment—big and small.
Remember, children may not remember every worksheet or lesson from the first day, but they will remember how you made them feel. A warm smile, a welcoming classroom, and a few moments of laughter can set the tone for an entire school year.
