On Halloween night a storm is approaching.

Will Spookley the Square pumpkin be able to save the pumpkin patch?

This story is so much fun and it has a wonderful message to share with the students.

It is perfect for a math activity in discussing different shapes and for science the concept of roll and slide.

This resource has:

A cute pumpkin craft: Perfect for a bulletin board (Our crazy pumpkin patch)

Comprehension: Story Elements, Cause and Effect, Authors Purpose, Compare and Contrast

Writing: Sequencing, retell, narrative (Pages provided for final write as well as a graphic organizer for preparing a well organized paragraph.)

Recommendations for use of activity pages.

The resource is perfect for a “pumpkin” day!

Your class will love playing SCOOT. Best of all it is FREE!

It is a great way learn, cooperate with others and MOVE!!

Students are paired or put in small groups.

Each group or pair is placed in front of a card.

Each student must have their own answer sheet.

They decide on the correct answer together.

Students stay at the station until YOU say SCOOT!!

They then move to the next number.

This continues until all numbers are completed.

I created two designs for you to choose from.

There is also a pumpkin poster and a FACT/OPINION pumpkin for the final check.

I’m Michele a retired educator who loved every minute of being in the classroom and creating an environment where students loved coming and materials were presented that inspired learning. After retirement 5 years ago I knew I wanted to stay connected to the classroom and education. I began pulling my materials together and creating resources for TpT. I hope you will peek at them!! Together my husband and I have raised three amazing sons who now are busy beginning families of their own. To date I only have one grandson but he is such a joy! My husband, miniature dachshund Rubee, and I love being on the water, boating and walking outside. So if you see sunglasses you know where we are!! Together we spend time at our lake house in Michigan and our winter home in Florida. We are creating so many wonderful memories.
