The resource is filled with literacy activities to support early readers and is perfect for Guided Reading. Colorful vocabulary and word work activities are related to story text. There are several comprehension activities to select from including story elements, recall, cause/effect and author’s purpose.  Writing includes paragraph organizers to support opinion, narrative and informational writing. Student’s will take a poll on how they feel about eating turkey for Thanksgiving and then data collection will be completed. There are two delightful crafts for creating a bulletin board or decorating your classroom. Students will have an opportunity to design their own costumes for Turkey.
