I love using volunteers in the classroom. Sometimes the volunteer might even be a grandparent. Volunteers can be used for so many things. (reading, one to one, small groups) For those parents who are not able to come into the classroom I always have things they can do at home. (cutting, sorting) I also feel that volunteers create a win/win for everyone. It helps parents engage and it provides support for you.
