The class will enjoy writing about their grandparents. There is a space for them to draw their grandparents and sentence starters like My grandparents are, like can … Once they complete that sentence then they write a paragraph using the three ideas. Encourage students to begin each sentence with a different beginning for the perfect paragraph. ( My Grandparent/ They/ Together we)
Following the writing the class will have fun cutting out the letters from grandparents, grandmother and grandfather and making words. I love putting the students in small groups and then together have them create words. You can select a secretary for each group to write the words. We then come all together and have fun listing all the words we cam up with. It is also a great review of vowels and consonants.
