Activities to Welcome Students Back from Winter Break!

December 27, 2022 No Comments

Students will soon be returning to school! They may be excited to share, sad about break being over, a little homesick, tired after the “no school” schedules and excitement so … how will you start that first day back to be sure things go smoothly. 1. Be Prepared … make sure you have a good plan! 2. Hold off from introducing any new curriculum. 3. Take time for students to share. 4. Review the classroom rules. 5. Make room for movement.

Take a look at this “welcome back” resource. I know you will find some activities that will support you and provide activities for the students that are fun and yet meaningful. Best part is it is FREE!! It also has a snowy day theme or a warm weather theme.elco

I’m Michele a retired educator who loved every minute of being in the classroom and creating an environment where students loved coming and materials were presented that inspired learning. After retirement 5 years ago I knew I wanted to stay connected to the classroom and education. I began pulling my materials together and creating resources for TpT. I hope you will peek at them!! Together my husband and I have raised three amazing sons who now are busy beginning families of their own. To date I only have one grandson but he is such a joy! My husband, miniature dachshund Rubee, and I love being on the water, boating and walking outside. So if you see sunglasses you know where we are!! Together we spend time at our lake house in Michigan and our winter home in Florida. We are creating so many wonderful memories.
